Okay, so my sister asked where I was going to school so I figured others might be wondering the same. I'm going to IUSB. I'm going in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Physical Science. I was originally going to continue with German Education but I decided I wanted to get a job after graduation. In this area they don't offer that as much. It will be three years of school and then I can start student teaching and then I can get a job.

physical science? What the Blog is that? sounds too hard!
Well I'm not uber talented enough to teach something like music or writing.
yeah, 'cause physical science will be easy!
PE teacher huh! You aren't going to get one of those haircuts too are you?
Alright Puphigirl, to what haircut are you refering? And I said physical science not physical education. P.E. was not my best subject. With my degree I'll be able to teach physics, chemistry, biology, and math. And to little ruthykins, hey to memorize laws and formulas isn't as hard as studying an endless list of composers and authors. So LA TI DA.
ok - now you're just bragging!!!
Sorry. Didn't mean to. But wouldn't it shut me up if I couldn't get a job after graduating? Well, I hope that's not the case. Right now Elkhart county is supposedly desperate for science and math teachers. I hope that will still be the case because I would love to move over there.
how long will it take you to get through school?
Three years. I have to take 6 chemistry classes, 17 education classes, 4 math classes, and 4 physics classes. I have to go summers to get them all in. A couple of those I will actually take my fourth year while I'm student teaching, but I don't think they're actually in a classroom. I pretty much won't have a life. If I have ever to slow it down I guess I could it would just postpone the schedule. The problem is that I have to take a Praxis after each stage, so I really want to time everything right.
