I decided to sign the boys up for little league. I went to the school to fill out the forms and pay the fees. When I walked in with all the boys the men working the booth were really excited. They said, "Alright, three ball players" I said, "Oh no, this one isn't old enough" (speaking of Dougan). They said, "He won't be 4 by April 30th?" I said, "Hmm, I guess he is old enough. Dougan do you want to play baseball too?" To which Dougan replied, "Yes!" The men again got very excited. So I filled out all the forms and paid the dues and loaded them all up in the van and went home. When I saw Tony that night I told him that I signed up Dougan too. We both just busted up laughing because we CANNOT picture this little dude playing. Every once in awhile I remember that I signed him up and I just get this grin on my face.
So today Dougan practiced running from home to first base by running from the couch to the wall in the other room. He thinks he's really fast, and I really hope that he'll make it to first base at least a few times this season. The men told us that all three will be in the same league and on the same team. Koen just made the cut off by a little over a month, and Dougan made it only by a week. To me it just doesn't seem right to have a tiny kid playing with an almost seven year old. I can't wait for the season to start and I know I'll take lots of pictures. So Root Root Root for my boys team.

awwww. that is soooo cute! good job signing them up! they will probably enjoy it for years to come! way to start them now. keenan did soccer, but when we moved i didn't keep him in. i wish i had them all in it. i wish i would have put them all in sports when they were little. i think it's good for them to learn sportsmanship, and it's good for kids self esteem to be a part of a team.
well, i guess baseball's okay. do they not have jazz dancing classes where you live?
Well, I think after baseball is over I want to sign them up for swimming. That's something I can see them being really good at. Plus then they'll be ready for summer. There is jazz but I don't think they would be interested in that right now. I just want them to use up a lot of energy and have fun.
I am glad you were able to sign the boys up for baseball. I remember writing a poem one time about Babe Ruthy.
The will make memories. Ask the others about their ball memories. Think about your own.
Send pictures of the boys. You rock!
I like for the boys to be involved in sports, I just don't want to push sports onto them. Zach and Zane have both done track. Zane did a season of wrestling. Cooper did soccer last year and we signed him up again this year for Spring soccer.
