The Final Game

Here's Koen batting with coach Rick right behind him. Koen had a lot of great hits this season. He was very proud of himself. In the rookie league they get to go two bases if they hit into the outfield and Koen got to do that a couple of times. It was really fun seeing him improve so much as this was his first year playing. He went from not knowing how to do any of it to being a very strong player for his team. Next year he'll move up to the minor league where they only use a pitching machine and all outs counts. I hope he does just as well next year.

This is Eades running into home plate. He had a lot of fun this year. It was hard for him to pay attention during a whole game at the beginning of the season but by the end he was totally into the game. He never got to hit the ball with the pitching machine during a game but that didn't discourage him. He just kept doing his best. He did a very good job playing pitcher's helper. I was so proud of him.

This is Dougan playing in the dirt. Unfortunately this was a common occurrence. He just wasn't into fielding. This was his first year and he was the youngest on the team so maybe by next year he'll be more mature and ready to play.

This is him talking to coach Dave. He really enjoyed being around coach Dave and coach didn't seem to mind. I thought it was a fun picture so I added it.
So that was it. The season is over. All the boys had a good time and learned a little bit of baseball as well. Brandis and I liked sitting in the bleachers eating popcorn and Tony liked giving tips and making some chatter.
